Akwaaba to you all ChangeMakers toThe HIVE, 4 Grape Link, Galloway, the home of THREE interconnected conglomerate working systems namely; FAPIMPA Foundation, Consult MBOA and our recent member TECHFARM Hub for which exploit we have met here.
TECHFARM Hub was established by myself the Developer and my Co-Developer in 2020 as a subsidiary of FAPIMPA Foundation (CSO) to fill an urgent vacuum in the Eastern Region and specifically in Koforidua for a safe space where young people can go to build their entrepreneurship and agripreneurship innovations using disruptive tools, technologies and resources to upscale opportunities for productivity and profitability. Our initial operations in March 2020 met challenges as it coincided with the partial lockdown as a result of the emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic. This charged us to adopt online engagement techniques and introduced our flagship program eDIALOGUES which engages astute personalities and agencies on topical issues in an online dialogue. Since January, 2021, we have also activated our Disruptive Innovations and Technologies (DIT) Series and Digital Academy Program (DAP) as part of our youth-focused innovative trainings in robotics, internet of Things, A.I, coding and related digital literacy skillsets.
Ladies and Gentlemen, your participation in today’s Ghana Youth Innovation Accelerator Summit and 2021 GYIA Hack Awards ceremony is under the theme; “Accelerating Ghanaian Youth Innovations for Productivity and Profitability” demonstrates the timely critical partnership support TECHFARM Hub has received from the Ghana Commission for UNESCO and MTN Ghana Foundation and support from the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communication (GIFEC), National Youth Authority (NYA), the Melton Foundation, Youth Advocates Ghana (YAG), FAPIMPA Foundation, United Nations Youth Association Ghana (UNYA-GH) and other project partners as part of our week-long commemoration of the 2021 International Youth Day in the Eastern region of Ghana.
We organized GYIA Hack as a minds-on, hearts-on and hands-on 24 hours hackathon to unearth innovative solutions from applicants with hope of receiving business incubation, acceleration and investment match-making support to enable them upscale. Today 3 Teams out of 16 Finalists will be honoured as Winner of the maiden Ghana Youth Innovation Accelerator Hackathon also called GYIA Hack. In our midst today, 44 individuals from the 16 Finalists will join our GYIA Hackers Community.
On behalf of TECHFARM Hub’s Board of Advisors and management teams and on my own behalf, I want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our 2021 GYIA Hack partners for their indelible resource supports which has brought us to this august climaxing event. We must admit your inputs was not enough to meet our initial budget and like Oliver Twist – we ask for more. TECHFARM Hub is already looking forward beyond these past days of non-stop activities and making frantic efforts to consolidate existing and secure new partners with essential resources and funding options to boost the implementation of scheduled incubation, acceleration and investment match-making opportunities which is part of the winning package for the 2021 GYIA Hackers. Our GYIA Hack Finalists some of who have travelled from Northern and distant parts of Ghana have demonstrated their commitment, it is time our partners look into their resource base and support TECHFARM Hub to mobilise, train and empower them for greater good.
“Only through Action do words take Meaning”. The quote has captured my thoughtful attention since the conceptualization of TECHFARM Hub and remains even more relevant today looking into the future.
Ayekoo once again to our 3 winning team and to all our 16 GYIA Hack Finalists. To our partners, we say thank and looking forward to stronger and impactful collaborations. And to all who made it to today’s event, we say a big thank you.
God bless TECHFARM Hub!
God bless Koforidua and the Eastern Region!!
