St Louis SHS is a Catholic all-girls secondary school located on the Ejisu-Kumasi Highway.
The Ashanti Regional Police Public Relations Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Mr Godwin Ahianyo, who confirmed the incident to the Daily Graphic, believed that the perpetrator might have scaled the school’s fence wall to commit the crime.
He said the victim, who is traumatised by the incident was sent to the hospital for treatment and had since been discharged.
According to him, the perpetrator dragged the student from the classroom into the teak plantation, which is close to the classroom block and raped her and abandoned her afterward.
