Top Ghanaian musician, Shatta Wale has disassociated himself from the NPP though he is reported to have endorsed Akufo-Addo recently.
Shatta Wale has issued a warning to all political parties; he has said no one should use his songs or photo for their campaign.
According to him, any political party that likes to use his song or photo for its campaign must follow the necessary procedures.
The musician made this message clear across all his social media handles.
He wrote, ‘Moving forward No one should use my picture or my brand on any political campaign or platforms. Myself and my loyal fans will support and cooperate with any person who Ghanaians elect as their president..
‘Anyone who wishes to seek any further clarifications/explanations should contact my office (The secretariat) on 054 466 2230‘.
Shatta Wale had formerly composed a song titled ‘Mahama Paper‘ which the NDC used for their campaign in the 2016 elections.
His closeness to President Akufo-Addo is as well appreciated.
Recently, when he landed Beyonce’s collaboration, Nana Addo is said to be one of the people who played a key role to make the whole deal a success.
Unless Shatta Wale has some ulterior motive, we are completely lost on this!
