He said that, the new curriculum called Common Core Programme is designed such that at the end of it students can go into career or better still further to tertiary to do their grammar programmes. He said this is very effective and will reduce the failure rate of students as well as grant them the opportunity to also have job experience before moving on to have the grammar aspect of education in the tertiary that is if they want it that way or vice versa.

The host of the show called Berla Mundi went on to ask him the long anticipated wish for students to return back to school and if it is really going to happen. The Minister’s answer to the question was not direct but quite practical. According to Dr. Matthew Prempeh, the science and nature of the disease is still being studied and so they want us to return to school safely but not to be involved in the disease. This was his indirect answer to the question and he never stated directly or indirectly whether schools would be opened. He also acclaimed that the disease is very deadly since he has been a victim of it and it was not very easy at all.
