The principal, management and stakeholders of colleges of education in Ghana has postponed the admission for 2020- 2021 academic year to September 21, 2020. Initially, admission was supposed to take place within this month but changes have been made as a result of the president state of nation address delivered on 16th August, 2020.
In his 15th address to the nation on covid-19 update, it was stated that tertiary institutions which were unable to conduct online exams for their students are to report on Monday 24th August, 2020. Again, his excellency Nana Akufo Addo made mentioned of three (3) categories of institutions which were not able to conduct online exams during this covid-19 pandemic period. They are: university of cape Coast, university of health and colleges of education affiliated to UCC
Moreover again, it was stated that, all safety protocols in covid-19 pandemic should be observed critically while Students are on campus to prepare and undertake their semester 2 exams.
Finally, management of colleges of education indicated that this is the main reason why they have extended the purchasing of admission forms for the 2020- 2021 academic year. Remember that admission will be in progress on 21st September, 2020.
