Association football, more commonly known as football or soccer, is a team sport played with a spherical ball between two teams of 11 players. It is played by approximately 250 million players in over 200 countries and dependencies, making it the world’s most popular sport.
It can also be defined as, any of various forms of team game involving kicking (and in some cases also handling) a ball, in particular (in the UK) soccer or (in the US) American football.
Let’s also look at what a penalty kick is, a penalty kick is a method of restarting play in association football, in which a player is allowed to take a single shot on the goal while it is defended only by the opposing team’s goalkeeper. It is awarded when a foul punishable by a direct free kick is committed by a player in their own penalty area.
In this era of football game, there have been many footballers who have lost penalties.
Lionel Messi, an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a forward and captains both Spanish club Barcelona and the Argentina national team has also lost a lot of penalties in his career.
